What is the Orange Flag?
The Orange Flag is the mark of quality for tourism and the environment of the Touring Club Italiano and it is awarded to small inland towns which distinguish themselves for the excellent choice they offer and the quality of their hospitality.
The Objectives
The mark is intended to boost social and economic growth, through the sustainable development of tourism.

- strengthening local identity
For tourists, the Orange Flag is an element of choice which guarantees the possibility of enjoying a quality experience, discovering new places, cultures and traditions, outside the traditional tourist flows.

ORANGE FLAGS is the only Italian project to be included by the World Tourism Organization among the 50 programs successfully carried out throughout the world for sustainable development of tourism.
Through the Orange Flag scheme, Touring Club Italiano and the Tuscan Regional Authorities are inviting tourists to visit the towns and discover hidden corners and areas where there are a multitude of initiatives and events aimed at the rediscovery of traditions.
